A horrible night in train/ट्रेन की भयानक रात

          भोपाल के एक छोटे से गांव में मेरे नाना के चचेरे भाई की शादी थी। मेरे नाना शादी में शामिल होने के लिए भोपाल गए हुए थे। वहां की हरियाली, झील बहुत खूबसूरत थी मेरे नाना को वाह बहुत अच्छा लग रहा था। पर अब भाई की शादी हो चुकी थी और उन्हें वापस आना था। वह भोपाल से मुंबई तक की रेल में रात के 10:00 बजे बैठ गए।

       रेल अपने वक्त पर शुरू हो गई। रेल का सफर काफी अच्छा गुजर रहा था। खिड़की से अब रास्ता काफी सुनसान और अंधेरा नजर आ रहा था। अब रात के 2:00 बज रहे थे, कि अचानक रेल रुक गई।मेरे नाना को लगा कि स्टेशन आ गया पर वह स्टेशन नहीं था,बीच अंधेरे जंगल में सिग्नल नहीं मिलने के कारण रेल रुकी हुई थी।

     मेरे नाना को काफी गर्मी लग रही थी। वह रेल के दरवाजे पर जा खड़े हुए। दरवाजे पे उनके सिवाय और कोई नहीं था। सारे यात्री सो रहे थे। दरवाजे पर खड़े रहकर मेरे नाना ने देखें कि एक औरत सामने जंगल में पेड़ के पास खड़ी है, और उन्हें इशारा कर रही है।मेरे नाना को लगा कि यह कोई पागल औरत है, तो उन्होंने भी उसे इशारा किया। इशारा करते ही औरत ने अपने सिर से दुपट्टा हटाया और अपने चेहरा दिखाते हुए जोर-जोर से हंसने लगी। चेहरा काफी जला हुआ देखकर मेरे नाना घबराकर नीचे बैठ गए। उसी वक्त रेल चलना शुरू हो गई।

      मेरे नाना अब काफी डरे हुए थे। उन्होंने यह घटना का ज़िक्र  किसी से नहीं किया और अपने सीट पर जा बैठे। खौफ के कारण उनको पूरी रात नींद नहीं आई, वह बार-बार उसी जली औरत के बारे में सोच रहे थे।वह जली हुई औरत का चेहरा मेरे नाना के दिमाग से नहीं जा रहा था। आखिर मैं बहुत मुश्किल से मेरे नाना की आंख लगी। सुबह के 4:00 बजे जब सारे यात्री बहुत गहरी नींद में सो रहे थे, मेरे नाना की आंख बेचैनी से खुल गई।

      मेरे नाना ने सोचें की मुंह ठंडे पानी से धोकर आता हूं थोड़ा अच्छा लगेगा। वह मुंह धोने के लिए बाथरूम के तरफ बड़े। जैसे ही वह बाथरूम के दरवाजे तक पहुंचे और वह दरवाजा खोलें, उन्हें बाथरूम में वही जली हुई औरत दिखाई दी।मेरे नाना दो पल के लिए अपना होश खो बैठे और दरवाजे के बाहर ही बेहोश हो गए।

    जब उनको होश आया तब उन्होंने देखा कि 10 12 यात्री उनके इर्द-गिर्द खड़े हैं। वह लोगों ने मेरे नाना को पानी पिलाया और उनसे रात के हादसे के बारे में पूछा। पूरी घटना सुनने के बाद एक आदमी जो मेरे नाना के सिरहाने बैठा हुआ था, उसने सब से कहा कि,"2 महीने पहले एक औरत बिजली के खंभे से टकराकर ट्रेन की पटरी पर गिर गई थी, जब से उसकी आत्मा यह जंगल में भटक रही है"।

     वह आदमी ने कहा कि,"मैं हर दो-चार दिन में काम के सिलसिले से रेल यात्रा करता हूं और मैंने यह जली हुई औरत के किस्से बहुत बात सुने हैं"। वह आदमी ने मेरे नाना से कहा कि तुम्हें वह औरत को इशारा नहीं करना चाहिए था। वह आदमी ने मेरे नाना के ऊपर कुछ पढ़कर फुखा, जिससे मेरे नाना को काफी बेहतर महसूस हुआ। कुछ घंटे बाद मेरे नाना का स्टेशन आ गया और वह वहां उतर गए और राहत की सांस ली।

English translation:-

    There was a wedding ceremony of my grandfather's cousin in bhopal. My maternal grandfather had gone to Bhopal to attend the wedding.  The greenery there, the lake was very beautiful, my grandfather was feeling very wow.  But now the cousin was married and and my grandfather had to come back.  He boarded the train from Bhopal to Mumbai at 10:00 pm.

      The train started on its own time.  The train journey was passing quite well.  The path through the window was now quite deserted and dark.  It was now 2:00 in the night,  the train stopped suddenly. My grandfather felt that the station had arrived but it was not the station, the train was stopped due to no signal in the middle of the dark forest.

    My grandfather was feeling extremely hot. He stood at the rail door.  There was nobody but him at the door.  All the passengers were sleeping.  Standing at the door, my grandfather saw a woman standing near a tree in the forest,she was doing some gesture to my grandfather. My grandfather thought it was a mad woman, so he also gestured at her.  As soon as my grandfather gestured at her, the woman removed the scarf from her head and started laughing loudly while showing her face.  Seeing the face quite burnt, my grandfather panicked and sat down.  The train started running at the same time.

     My grandfather was quite scared now.  He did not commit this incident to anyone and sat on his seat.  Due to fear, he could not sleep all night, he was thinking about the same burnt woman again and again. That burnt woman's face was not going through my grandfather's mind.  After all, trying very hard my grandfather slept.   At 4:00 in the morning when all the passengers were sleeping very deeply, my  grandfather's eye opened with restlessness.

    My  grandfather thought that if I will wash my face with cold water ,I might would feel better.  He went to the bathroom to wash his face.  As soon as he reached outside the bathroom door and he opened the door, he saw the same burnt woman in the bathroom. My grandfather lost his senses for two minutes and fainted outside the door.

   When he regained consciousness, he saw that 10 12 passengers are standing around him.  The passengers gave my  grandfather water to drink and asked him about the night's accident.  After hearing the whole incident, a man who was sitting by my grandfather's seat told everyone that, "2 months ago a woman collided with an electric pole and fell on the train track, ever since her soul wandered in the forest".

   The man said, "I travel by train every two-four days for work and I have heard stories about this burnt woman".  The man said to my  grandfather that you should not have gestured to the woman.  The man read something over my grandfather and blew, which made my grandfather feel much better.  Hours later my  grandfather's station arrived and he landed there and breathed a sigh of relief.
